Vasque Snow Junkies - Gear Review

For a guy that would live in flip flops his whole life if given the option, I now have a good back up plan for the winter months. I have spent a couple months testing the Snow Junkies from Vasque and I am a fan. In Minnesota this year we have had a big snow year, so these have been a life saver for my winter excursions both in the snow and on the ice.

In my opinion they are a very versatile and good looking boot that I find is easy to wear.  Traction on ice and snow, as well as when hiking last fall, make these Vasque boots a strong recommend from this user.  I have not been easy on these boots but they've held up well and still look like new.  Laces stay put, so they are easy to get in and out of and tie up in a hurry if needed.

The upper is a nylon mesh which I think give them a great look and I assume are the reason my feet get neither to hot nor to cold in all kinds of conditions.  What they are NOT are heavy, bulky boots that weigh you down.  Instead they are light, comfortable and good looking.  The pair I tested are bright green and grey (what they call Pesto and Beluga) and receive their share of attention and compliments.

So I have two recommendations, first is try these boots I believe you will be happy with them. My second recommendation is that you trust me that they work in the snow and take them down south with you for the winter, snow shoveling just isn't all it’s cracked up to be. A light comfortable boot that will keep your feet dry and provides great traction is what we are all looking for when our flip flops are not right for the occasion.
