Price $175
Available at Duluth Pack

This pack is an 18-ounce canvas canoe pack with a double bottom. It has leather shoulder straps with rivets to add to the quality construction. The pack has one large compartment to fit all your camping supplies. You will also find a built in map pocket in the larger compartment. This pack is designed for canoe camping and fits the confines of a canoe and rides low on your back to allow the carrying of a canoe. The pack also includes a heavy-duty 6ml poly liner for keeping gear dry and a tumpline to help with carrying heavy loads. This pack is great for people who have space saving gear or who are going out on a 2-4 day trip.

Technical Specifications
#3 Heavy Duty
Dimensions: 26H x 28W
Capacity: 5,330 cubic inches
Construction: 18 oz canvas, envelope style design, double bottom, double sewn side seams, leather reinforcements for all rivets and high stress seams, leather 1-inch flap straps, includes M-211 poly liner

Pros
  • Rugged pack that will last forever or at least long enough to pass down to your children and even grandchildren.
  • Pack is completely waterproof when used with the 6ml plastic liner. I have never had wet gear.
  • Made in the USA by people from Duluth, MN.
  • Fits properly in a canoe to allow for more stability.
  • Made from canvas and leather
  • Guaranteed for life!!!

Cons
  • Pack might be too small for people with gear that is too big. It’s best for people with space saving gear. If your sleeping bag is big it will take up a lot of room.
  • Some people say the leather straps hurt on longer portages, but I haven’t had that problem yet.
  • Price, but I guess you have to pay for quality.
  • Map pocket. It’s located inside and is totally useless. I wonder why they even put this on. The only useful function it has is to hold your Frisbee.

I would definitely recommend this pack. It is a well-built pack that will last forever.

I bought one of these a few years ago. It has held up. Plus it looks really cool (after I added some bedazzle to it)!!!!

As a loyal Duluth Pack employee I appreciate the mention! We have been hand making this and other bags in the same factory since 1911! Stop in and get a factory tour sometime.
